Wiki Etiquette

Page history last edited by mrsl 10 years, 8 months ago

Here is where we will place Wiki Etiquette guidelines for the class. Initially there will be some from the teachers, but as time progresses, we may have class meetings to agree on more etiquette items.

1. Realize that whatever you post is visible to the entire world, even if you later delete it, you can still see it in page history.  Be respectful of your classmates and others.

2. Appropriate and specific comments only, please. Use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization - in English;

     NO TEXT TALK or CHAT!

3. Don't steal the lock from whomever is editing a page; they'll lose whatever they've been working on.

4. Use the help feature if you don't know how to do something. If you still have problems, ask your fellow students for help or post it on the Wiki Questions page for others to answer.

5. Community pages are open for all to edit and contribute to.

6. Respect the personal pages of others.

7. Check with Mrs. Lawson or Mr. Casey about a new page you want to add. It needs to relate to what we are learning in school somehow.

8. No personal identifying information on wiki - last names, phone numbers, addresses (e-mail or home), photos, etc... Practice good Internet safety.

Please "sign" in the comment section below your agreement to our Wiki Etiquette.
